lil josh, i know how you're feeling and the way some members would rather patronise than help is beyond me, perhaps they forget what it was like to be a stoner when they were in their teens or whatever - its probably been decades. The best way to do it if you're living at home, i found,was to keep it under your bed with a uv light on it at night for a few hours, and on your windowsill being left to itself behind your curtains/blind or whatever during the daylight hours. That is what i did and sprouted something like 19 out of 25 or so seeds which continued to grow to about 4/5 inches within a week.

However, there are points being raised that need to be understood. Your parents WILL get into trouble should feds raid, so if they don't know, keep it on the low, that means all your mates - the only person you should tell is who's house you're planning on moving the bigger plants into to continue growing, and shift them as soon as they start to smell so that ya rents dont go rippin ya babies out the earth.
Should feds ever raid, the answer to their questions is - 'My parents did not know they were here, i never told them nor did they know i smoked cannabis - this is entirely my fault'. As fucked up as that may sound, it's there house on the line.

But don't get me wrong, go for it and grow some killer plants, just play safe.
