i believe that our minds are too primitive to comprehend all realms of existance and all aspects of life and death. so i think its ridiculous to think you know what happens after death. im in agreement with the philosophy of everyone being a part of one conciousness in death.

Well i'll be the first to say that I fear death more than anything because thats what Ive been programmed to fear. As you get older, and you grow closer and more comfortable with death, than the fear wanes but as of right now, I DONT WANNA DIE!!!!!

I don't know what happens when we die, but I hope we get to be with God and be happy.
I have started believing that it is a sin to commit suicide, as I have contemplated doing so recently. It is kind of like murder.
Anyway, I'm probably both more and less religious than the average American, and definitely more religious than most Europeans. The fools are at the bottom of it all.

I'd actually agree with Matt and say its you that missed the point. Your first post was ridiculous, it's perfectly acceptable and sane for an individual to not fear death without rushing towards it. Just as its coherent to not want to sacrifice one's life for a cause that one doesn't believe in.

I think death is awesome.

they say the only way to judge if something is alive is if it fears its death, and that is true,

i am not looking down on them for not putting their lives on the line (you people really gotta start actually reading what i write) i AM however putting them down for saying they are not afraid of death, that is all im putting them down for,
there is a difference between an old or sick person who dies peacefully in a bed, and some healthy kid walking around saying "im a tough guy, im not afraid of death"

it is also natural to want to preserve your own life, to not want to die, that is one of the most natural things in the world

where in that one sentance i wrote, or in all my posts, did i personally acuse you of saying you dont fear death?
im also not saying to live your life in fear of death, im saying its stupid/crazy to go around telling everyone you dont fear death,
seriously every single post ive written except my first one in this thread has been due to someone misinterpreting the last, i dont know whether its some sort of grammar difference between america and australia, maybe im not explaining my points clearly (though i keep rereading and dont see how it can be misinterpreted)
