New Low, help
Hello3pat, it sounds like you may have similar issues that I do with having sudden emotional crashes that can last many many hours (if not all day). It may be something so simple as accelerated seratonin reuptake, or poor seratonin or dopamine production. But I'm not saying you wouldn't have valid issues affectin your psyche as well.
I want you to try the following things; believe me, they will help a good deal.
1. Take the following nutrients: (and REALLY read the last one)
- 100-200mg vitamin B-12 in sublingual tablets (they don't absorb throught the digestive tract very much).
- One strait Vitamin-E pill every day (doubles the holding time for Vitamin-C)
- This is a REALLY important one that will make a huge difference. Get some vitamin-C tablets and consume 3,000-4,000mg a day, but gradually work up to it over about a week. You'll see a very noticeable increase in mental and physical energy levels. You can even take it higher to 6,000mg once you've been on the system for a while. This is considerably higher than the recommended dose, but the government studies these recommendations are based on are very poor quality and have been disproven by later studies which suggest the human body needs considerably more than we normaly injecst. Don't worry, vitamin-C toxicity isn't even a possible issue till you exceed 24,000mg. Some people even injest that much and swear it makes them feel fantastic (though it seems excessive to me). Also, just taking 2,000mg at once can boost your energy levels within 20 minutes noticeably.
2. Cut out wheat and other gluten-containing products for a week and see if that makes a difference. many people have depression/anxiety as a result of gluten intolerance, or celiac disease, which often manifests itself only as psychological problems. HUGE amounts of people have dealt with depression for years merely because they eat tonnes of gluten.
3. Think about how much you eat grains and starches (ie. oats, wheat, potatoes) compared to how much you eat varrious fruits. Now switch them around. Seriously, start using fruit as your main staple for energy and keep carbohydrate bombs to a minumum. Also eat 1 high-protein food per day, such as eggs (the cholesteral isn't as bad as you think), chicken, fish, and feel free to have beef and other "heartier" meats once in a while if you wish. This will also significantly lower your intake of some toxins and oxidants which damage RNA structures.
4. Do 20 minutes of cardio excercise per day. And if you really won't/can't commit to that, just 15-20 minutes of anything that gets your heart going more. Also, taking a 1-hour walk (I like nightwalks) is very beneficial as well.
5. Get the proper anti-oxidents into your system. Rooibose red or green tea has 50x the anti-oxidants of regular green tea (though green-tea's good too). Plus, eat an apple a day, eat the skin on Kiwi's, eat strawberries and rasberries whenever they come along, and onions are great too. Garlic is also an anti-oxidant and a powerfull anti-viral (plus some bacterias).
6. Don't live on drinks pumped full of sugar; that includes jiuces, pop/soda (especially), of whatever else. Give your body water and water only 90% of the time. A moderate serving of clean water should always be had with your meals since the hydrogen aids in the digestive process greatly (but large amounts of water will dilute your stomach acids too much).
7. Meditation is very beneficial, but only if you have real devotion to it. It's much more beneficial to meditate for 5-10 minutes a few times a day, then one big hour-long meditation once a day. At first, before you find an emotional and psychological balance within yourself, meditating may actually bring your stress-inducing issues to the surface, so keep that in mind.
8. Very small doses of salvia divinorum extract, taken 3 times a week, and just enough to mildly feel the effects, has a remarkable anti-depressant effect on many people including myself. Some other people get depressed from it, so maybe just try it at that very small dose and see what it does for you. For me, it pulls me out of the negative-perceptive rut I get stuck in at times and allows me to view the world as a beautiful place again.
I know this sounds like a big devotion, but it's really an easy way to live once you get used to it. Trust me, you WILL see results from doing these.
