2nd Grow, 1st Cab Grow. . .

I'm just coming off of my first grow & harvest which I just did in my closet on a table. Got a yield of about 18 grams/ 18" plant, very good pot surprisingly considering the seeds came out of a bag of shitty schwag. I decided my next grow will be in a cab I built throughout the first grow, with 3 clones of the now-revegging best-of-the-crop. Let me lay out my cab and let me know what can be improved:

It's 32" x 32" x 12". I've got 2 25W CFLs currently on the sides with plans of adding two more. I put two 24 inch 20w CFLs above. I was in a hurry and bought "aquarium and plant" light, which to my surprise were 2700K, 600 lumens. Will 2 of these overhead with 100w of side lighting be good to grow 3 18" clones?

I've also got an intake/exhaust window fan built into the back for ventilation. The inside is painted white already. What do you think?

Hey JC,

Is your fan the kind with 2 fans so you can set 1 to blow in and 1 to blow out? If not, just make sure you've got enough intake for the size of your exhaust. I tried those plant & aquarium lights and I don't think they put out much light. You might think about using Warm White or Kitchen & Bath CFLs or tubes depending on your fixtures. They're about the same color (3000k) but they put out way more lumens. I found space blankets at Long's (Sorry, don't know if they are where you are) in the sporting goods dept. for $2.99 or $3.29. It should only take 1 to line your cab. I'm harvesting in a couple weeks and I'm gonna use those in my closet. Way reflective :thumbsup: Grow big, sounds like you are right on track.

If you are veggin go with Cool or daylight if possible try for 6500k, the kitchen and bath bulbs have more red in them for flowering (3000k). I'm sorry if I misunderstood the stage you are in....S

yeah, 2 6" fans, one blowing in, one blowing out. I'm doing the whole cycle in the cab, so I will be getting more 6500K lights for now which I will swap with my 2700K lights in flowering. 157W of light total. I will work on getting mylar sheets also. . . anything else?
