Everyone loves a FREAK... the mutant thread!
hipro, I've seen that before too.
It's a neat trait... more bushiness in less time! lol
I have wondered what causes it too.. it has to be some failure of apical dominance; that is, the propensity of the main growing tip to always remain so until cut, at which time it ceases to release the hormones that supress other potential shoot sites.
