On one of previous grows, when I topped the plant, I stuck a cutting in a jar of water. No bubbles. No rooting gel. Nothing but a jar of water, which I changed daily... when I remembered.

Anyway, I set it into bud about 2 weeks before the plant, got 2 joints (1 joint + 1 hamster joint) out of it

    You know it!

Update on one of my freaks!!! The Purple Star with whorled phytolaxy is a GIRL!!!! WOOT.

I potted her up in the same bucket as her 'normal' sister for flowering and we will see if yield is at all affected (my guess is a resounding NO but maybe I'll be wrong!).

    Merry Xmas to you too!
Shit... I can't point to any single place... just read as much as you can! If I had to say the best printed resource for cannabis genetics, it would be Greg Green's Cannabis Breeders Bible. I love that book. And for genetics in general... I took a Biology-heavy courseload in college. It was a good start to my 'other' career, lol!

Oh ps whorled phytolaxy is when you see those plants with 3 cotyledons and 3 petioles at every node instead of 2-lots of people call it polyploidy by mistake but that's a different condiotion.

Woot. Does the same 3 thing happen on the nodes on the branches?

Didnt top her because she was showing no signs of lateral branching. She's like a stick with leaves.

LOL! i just noticed tha one of my plants has a triploid branch. The rest of the plant is bi-lateral (so far) except for this one branch. It's obviously been this way at least a week, but I just now noticed.

In examining the plant more closely, every branch except the triploid branch has weird "even-odd" nodes: the 1st node has 2 leaves, the 2nd node 1 leaf, the 3rd 2, the 4th 1, etc. (I will post some pics of this in the AM) The meristem is bi-lateral.

So now I'm wondering if the "triploid" is simply the "even-odd" thing flattened out, or if the "even-odd" branches are the "triploid" thing streched out.

I'm also wondering why I didn't notice this until the plants was almost 4 weeks old. A case of overlooking the weirdness because the plant looks so beautiful?
