No, polyploidy and whorled phytolaxy are 2 entirely different things. Polyploid plants may be impossible to spot, or they may develop only single bladed leaves their entire lives. They can make you REALLY confused if you breed one accidentally too!

Heres my 3 headed self topper...it doesnt look as though it will yield as much though. My soil grow has been sub-par compared to my hydro.

Pic#1 is a twinned plant. It's an Akita (annaC x Stankonia) freebie from seedbay that sprouted 2 plants from 1 HUGE seed.
Pic#2 is not a great shot, but if you can see the largest 2 leaflets of the leaf I'm holding are fused and share the same main vein for the 1st third of their length.
    I love freaks.

This is not really a freak, but is interesting nonethless.

On one of previous grows, when I topped the plant, I stuck a cutting in a jar of water. No bubbles. No rooting gel. Nothing but a jar of water, which I changed daily... when I remembered.

Anyway, I set it into bud about 2 weeks before the plant, got 2 joints (1 joint + 1 hamster joint) out of it
