Some people cannot open their minds to opposing opinion.

I agree.
My thoughts and opinions do not change with the level of my inebriation, but they do (perhaps) become more detailed. And, because being stoned changes our perception of time, I think one is able to afford more time to listen and discuss.

On this, I have to disagree.
Our sensory perception is altered when stoned, especially in such things as sight and sound. How many times will you have caught yourself staring intently at an awesome sunrise/set - drinking in the beauty of it, feeling the power of life? It is the same with sound.
Music speaks to us in different ways - ways brought about by the machinations of the composer. Jimi Hendricks engineered his music to stimulate certain parts of our brains, so that it all made a whole lot more sense to us if we listened to it whilst of our tits on LSD.
Music is a powerful stimulus, and is never a waste of time.

Sorry, I'm a self professed audiophile

But, yeah.

Oh, and VoidLivesOn, your quote about the toilet roll is not entirely correct.
You would know when the toilet roll is going to run out, because you'd see that scraggy bit that is screwed up near the end. The problem comes when you go to get some more, and realise that you forgot to buy some last time which means you'd have an itchy ass for the rest of the day!

I know...I've been there.
