Sometimes when I get high my friends and I will have the most in depth conversations about reality, life, friends, feelings, awareness or any other sort of "enhancement" that we love (or hate) so much about pot. Other times we'll sit on the couch and watch tv just making jokes or talkin shit about nothing in particular...
Being high doesn't make you stupid, the things that go through your brain make you stupid... Many amateur smokers and even some not so amateurs get lost in thought and become this amorphous blob of silence or stupidity, not because they are dumb but simply because they are not accustomed to this level of THC content flowing through their body. Kind of like when you smoke some BOMBASS weed, you just wanna chill and be high as fuck. Others get silly and just laugh alot. Some of us however, are actually competent individuals with a high tolerance for mari huana
I love doing schoolwork, taking tests, going to work, goin to the gym, and just about anything else while high... its my thing and it works for me. It has gotten to the point where I can become sober to remember certain things and toke up to recall others... like high information can be accessed BEST while high or vice versa.
THIS DOESN'T MEAN I THINK IM PERFECT WHEN IM HIGH! I can tell sometimes when my visual-spacial abilities or reaction times are altered while high (or drunk) and have learned to slow down or take certain actions to ensure the safety of myself and everyone around me.
Its funny you bring up this whole debate because I have had many and i mean MANY conversations with literally HUNDREDS of potheads about this VERY THING~! I really am a pothead and embrace the culture (& people) that come with it. Everyone basically tells me the same thing in a different way: Smoking Marijuana expands the parameters of your thought process. Sometimes when you feel something while high then become sober, the emotion feels very surreal or just plain stupid. While many are just plain stupid, others are strong and legit emotions. They just can't be felt to the same extent because you dont have this drug in your system. While studies on this have not been performed (or so we think) I PERSONALLY BELIEVE that marijuana may quite possibly allow us to utilize a part of our brain that is not active when not under the influence of Cannabinoids or THC.
There have been on MANY occasions, instances of where I can sense a strong mental connection with a complete stranger when high... NOT because I can "read minds" or feel telepathic, but because I've heard them say or seen them do something that makes me almost completely EMPATHETIC to their situation. Not sympathetic, use a dictionary if you dont know the difference. I try to tap into these things when not high but I tend to be an insensitive prick while sober. I thought at first that pot might make me emotional but it doesnt, if anything I become much less emotional and more systematic in my thoughts and feelings. Almost as if I have a better sense of "understanding" if you will. I know some of you out there have to know what I'm talking about. I know there are even more of you out there that must think I'm a weirdo or a burnout, but I believe you simply haven't reached a certain level of tolerance or been placed in the right situations to kno what I mean.
I wanna hear what all of you have to say about this...

Music speaks to us in different ways - ways brought about by the machinations of the composer. Jimi Hendricks engineered his music to stimulate certain parts of our brains, so that it all made a whole lot more sense to us if we listened to it whilst of our tits on LSD.
Music is a powerful stimulus, and is never a waste of time.
Sorry, I'm a self professed audiophile
But, yeah.
Oh, and VoidLivesOn, your quote about the toilet roll is not entirely correct.
You would know when the toilet roll is going to run out, because you'd see that scraggy bit that is screwed up near the end. The problem comes when you go to get some more, and realise that you forgot to buy some last time which means you'd have an itchy ass for the rest of the day!
I know...I've been there.
