can I leave the door to hot water heater closet open to outdoor ocean airflow to purge it of any traces of the B-52 male plant while its still early on its flowering stage (10 days into this stage)? How long will it take to purge the airflow--EXACTLY how long?

1. NO

2. Not quite sure what you are asking here. Do you want to eliminate any pollen traces in the growroom before putting in another female? If so, then just wipe down the surfaces with a soap and water. That will get all the pollen out. I wouldn't expose your lamp and other equipment to the salty air, at least for any length of time. You'll just have to wipe off the residue anyway.

I'm pretty sure you can reuse that soil, you might just have to amend it somewhat. Check out the organics forum for specifics.

If you see no pistils at all then I doubt heat had anything to do with it.

Don't know how far to keep it away. Depends on how the air flows in your apartment.

You don't get seeds from the male. You get pollen which then combines with the female pistil and a seed is grown on the female plant. Yes, I would make seeds, using just one of the lower branches of the female.

Yes, that's what I do. You just need to get a little bit of pollen from the male. You won't need it to finish it's flowering stage all the way. Put it by a window and keep it alive for about three more weeks, then gather up some pollen.
Perp Reviewed by Perp on . Male plant--use old soil from 5 gallon container? This is a B-52 plant and is male after 10 days of Flowering stage....I see many many ball sacks (acorn shaped nuts)...I need to know following: 1. Can I re-use the old soil in its 5 gallon container for my next planting? --what must be done to purge the soild of any traces or reminants of its former resident brother before they pop and pollinate the air space? --this is organic soil with lots of nutes, bat guano, fish emulsion etc...so I want to obviously recylce it. 2.
