Kind but Sad lady south of Boston
Well, I've run out again, as usual! That's what happens when I can only get an 1/8th at a time! I am just not comfortable cruising the dark streets looking for a seller, so I guess I am sol until my little seedlings are grown- a horrible prospect! This one guy at work gives me the royal run-around, since he is always looking too, and when it is scarce, which it always seems to be, he gets some and I get nothin! I actually tried some of that legal weed stuff to alleviate my stress, but I don't know if the mild effect is real or placebo. I am very frustrated and hope I have better luck soon. The holidays are grim without weed - I don't drink and find other people's merriment hard to take when I have nothing to smoke.
What's a nice, forty-something lady to do??? Shoot, if I was in high school I would never have this problem. That's sad isn't it - I can buy my own house but not my own weed!

Go back to college! Take a course and hang around the lunchroom stoner table! I was in my 50's when I went back! Showed the kids that a little old lady like me could clear a 4 foot bong! After that, it was easy! No problem scoring!

I feel your pain. I am in the same situation. Own my own home but have no smoke.
The school idea is a good one. In the mean time read up on growing here. Those seedlings will grow. Keep planting more as they grow. Trust me on this. Harvesting every few weeks is the best way.
There are quite a few of us in our 40's here.

Welcome to the board. Yeah...I always like to decorate the Christmas tree while stoned and listen to some Christmas tunes.
I hope you'll find something before Christmas so you can really enjoy the holiday season.

Thanks for the advice kind friends, but the irony is I already have three advanced degrees - in fact, I am a college professor- but asking students for weed is prohibited, and rightly so- I can just see some kid bargaining for a A in exchange for a 1/4!!
I guess I am just screwed for the time being. I am very leery of the internet as a retail option, but if anyone can vouch for a safe source, I'm game-
Rock on over 40's! Maybe we should form our own grey-haired group! That would be fun- we could stroll down memory lane- remember 1972??? I hear your pain though. My few clients are older professionals who buy from me because I AM an older professional. I think once you hit the big 3-0 you pretty much have no choice but to grow your own!
So hey what do you do for fun down there in South Boston? It's great how much places like JP and Roxbury have come around in the last decade! I was shocked last time I went down there. There's SO much renovation being done on the old tripledeckers.

Hi Stinky- Thanks for feeling my pain! I teach undergraduates, so there are few grownups in sight! I had an amazing experience one day last year however- I had been out for about a week and had even prayed for some (!) and lo and behold, in my afternoon class, I was talking to a student who had his hands shoved in his pockets, and when he pulled them out to gesture, guess what fell out of his pocket- a gram of weed! He almost had a heart attack, but cool-headed me scooped it up and headed out into the hall with the kid in tow. I told him I wasn't going to turn him in, but I had to confiscate the drugs, and I warned him not to bring things like that to school again, because another teacher might not be so understanding. It was the most amazing miracle! Perhaps I should pray to the goddess again?
My husband and I used to live in Dorchester, but were priced out of the triple deckers when it came time to buy a house- so we headed south to Brockton, where you can still get good deals and not all the neighborhoods are bad as you might expect. We wanted to live in a diverse area, since we are planning to adopt a couple of kids from Liberia (hence my nome de plume!) next year, if all goes well.
Nice to meet you miss stinky- we mid-life gals need to stick together!
I will keep you posted on my seedlings- and my sad search for reliefAll posts by liberiamom are intended for research purposes, and any resemblance to persons, either fictional or real, living or dead, is purely coincidental.
