Do they know what was making the bad guy attack the cabbie? Was he drunk or under the influence of some dangerous substance (not weed, of course)?

I had to work early this morning because of fresh snow downfall at 6am, so started heading to work at about 5:30 this morning. As I'm walking, I hear some yelling, some drunk yelling. I look down the road, and there is a cab.
