Okies, everyone, a little theoretical exploration.

I'm a miserable old git, at the moment, and most of my misery is due to money (or lack thereof).
I was pondering my situation, and wondered what kind of monetery windfall would eliminate that element of my misery lol
I'm not talking about 'life-changing' amounts here, but about an amount of money that would 'sort you out' and get you back on track to a 'happy' life.

I would like a windfall of £10,000.
That way, I could settle all my debts, and still be left with enough (as long as I didn't go stupid) to ensure a financially stress-free existence for the foreseeable. I'd still have to go to work, but at least the job wouldn't become a controlling factor of my life, ie over-time would be a bonus, rather than a neccessity.

When you really look at things, you don't need a great deal of cash to actually retire - probably around £200,000?
Invested wisely, and with a modest life-style, I would think that it was not an absurd idea.

Anyways, that's it
