Anybody here NOT like joints/blunts?

For me, this is really a situational issue:

If I'm alone, I'll usually end up just smoking out of a glass pipe. Occasionally I'll use the bong, without water. Rarely will I have a j or a blunt alone.

With other people, I also usually will use a piece, or multiple pieces. The bong filled with water or ice or both is used sometimes as well. Js and blunts don't normally make it into the equation, unless someone has some papers and suggests one. I can roll some solid js, but never done a blunt before. I find js and blunts to be messy and impractical for smoking in places where you don't want ash everywhere. I also find that js seem to leave a smell behind, where bowls and the like don't so much. But like SENSEFAIL said they're great when you're on the go.

Js are good in a rotation scheme (assuming a nicely rolled j and people who aren't gonna slobber all over it) because it bypasses the hassle of rotation of a bowl or bong. A j only needs to be lit once, whereas a pipe may need to be lit several times. There is no wondering with a j if it is cashed or still smokeable, as there is with a bowl. The j is easy to pass with one hand, as passing a bowl and a lighter can become cumbersome in the later stages of the session. If you drop the j, it could start a fire, but it won't shatter or spill a mess of bong water. Need to get rid of that j quickly? Save up some spit (if your mouth isn't too dry) or carry a bottle of water. Put the j out in a little puddle of spit in your mouth or put some water in your mouth and drop the j in, and swallow. Now nobody will find it. As you can see, the j has its advantages, but every method of smoking is different, and what is ideal for one person may be disliked by the next.

special case: I have weed, no papers, but I have cigarettes. Nothing is better than emptying the cig and re-packing it with tobacco and herb. I'm usually not in that much of a hurry to smoke, but sometimes you just gotta get high.


Question: Do you put tobacco in your js? Are you supposed to?

I usually don't put tobacco in my js. The only time I put tobacco in is when somebody else wants to or when I don't want to smoke an entire j.

I actually used to smoke a blunt every day, mids of course...don't put the nug in your blunts or joints, until I realized how much of my weed was being used up hah. I only use mids in blunts because of the taste of blunt, I don't want to ruin my kind bud with a bunch of flavored tobacco leaf. I've also read that you'll only get like 10% at max of the THC out of your weed with a blunt/joint. Just think of all the smoke pouring out the end of your blunt and you'll see why. (Oh yeah, and does anyone else hear call a blunt a "bean?" Maybe it's just my area)
I think a joint is okay between like three people AT MAX. Considering how small a joint is. And I'll have to "chase" a joint with a bowl or something lol.

I just recently bought myself a little $10 glass piece which actually is pretty nice for $10. Except for the fact that its thin and I broke the mouthpiece the second day I had it, it fell like 3 inches lol. Still able to hit it though. You'll get a few hits between 4-5 people even though the bowl is extremely small. Perfect for personal use sitting in my bed looking at the window though, lol.
Oh yea, and I'll NEVER turn down a bong, bubbler, etc. However, gravity bongs use up a lot of your pot so I'll use mostly mids with a gravity bong.

i've never heard anyone call a blunt a bean. i've heard people call ecstasy pills "beans."

I don't usually call it a bean, but there a few in the area who do. It isn't usually said but people do recognize a "bean" as a blunt. i.e. - "You wanna blaze a bean?"

I hate joints. I consider them such a waste of weed and time. It takes 5-10 minutes to smoke a joint and that gets me as high as taking 2 bong hits (which is done in less than 2 minutes) And the bong hits me a lot harder.

I've smoked joints when I started, but as I experimented with different smoking materials, I have to say joints are my least preffered way of smoking.

Your thoughts?

I'm a joint man to be honest with you. It's more like chain smoking to me. Can easily go through 40 (.7) j's a day when I don't have school or sports. I personally say vapes get you the highest, then bongs, then burbs, then pipes, then blunts, then j's. The only problem I have with blunts is the nasty ass wrapper. I prefer to use all natural unbleached papers when I roll (and who say's I can't roll them as fat as blunts when I want to?). I usually smoke a J to myself so I allways get mightly stoned. Doesn't last as long as it used to, but then I can allways smoke another (Bob Marley style).:rasta:

yes. i have a personal fear that the days of the fatty are gone, as i haven't found a solid weed-smoking crew in my area.

Reasons they suck

1. They make you stink so badly, anyone you come intact with, will know your stoned because you reek

2. They are wasteful, and you dont get as much out of it, as you would with a bowl.

3. They burn quick, so if you're not prepared to take shit loads of tokes, u will lose so much, and not get as high

The only thing good about blunts is: They makes you feel chill, and cool... you can just lay back and puff it back, and its a relaxing way to smoke....


Id rather smoke a bowl...

Yeah as someone else said, joints are good by yourself or with 3 people max. Anymore and everyone only gets like one or two hits...
