I was just doing some research and came across this:

About halfway down the page in the bulleted section it says in the last bullet:

It can cause lower sperm counts and increased breast size in males (gynecomastia).

Have any of you heard of this?

1] Regular use of marijuana can cause problems with memory and affect problem-solving and learning. It can cause mood swings, anxiety, and depression.

Interesting. It does not affect learning, memory yes, learning, not a chance.
Also, cannabis users are FAR less likely to ever become depressed than those who dont use cannabis, yet it is classed in England AS a depressant.

2] It can damage the lungs, which may lead to breathing problems (such as wheezing and bronchitis).

Funny, personally for me it does the EXACT opposit. When i smoke weed i dont weeze, and i've never had bronchitis. Thats counting all the years i smoked weed, AND tobacco.


3] It contains many cancer-causing chemicals.

This annoys me. The person/persons who wrote this know nothing about this subject. There has never been a direct link between cannabis use and cancer. In a recent study of 64000 people researchers found no direct link between extremely heavey cannabis use and any form of cancer, including lung cancer.


4] When under the influence of marijuana, a person may have reduced inhibitions and impaired judgement. They may take risks or have an auto accident.

Cant argue with that, it's true.

they call it a depressant because it relaxes you and eases pains in joints, headaches, stuff like that, not cuz it makes u sad lol, nevertheless, who wouldnt want such successful pain relief?

Gentlemen,

What they are talking about is referred to as gynecomastia (male breast growth). Gynecomastia results when male androgens (such as testosterone, DHT, ect) are lowered allowing natural occurring estrogens and progesterone to have more influence in our bodies (androgens are antagonists to estrogens so when androgens are lowered our 'female' hormones start exerting more of an 'effect' on our tissues).

This actually is not BS but it doesnt happen to everyone and isnt limited to marijuana use (as gornik said alcohol can also have this 'effect'). Typically such problems occur in certain predisposed individuals who typically are heavy users.

Im an extremely heavy user, and im no woman yet. But i guess that doesnt mean anything, as obviously it doesnt happen to everyone. I guess me and xcrispi are just lucky.
