We all have to remember that life isn’t as simple as

Cigarettes have tar… tar causes cancer…people who smoke get cancer.

If this were true we would see the same rates of cancer in heavy cannabis smokers as in cig smokers! But we do not

several things working together to produce such high rates of lung cancer in smokers

For example, cigg. Smoke has tar in it that deposits itself in the lungs. Also, cig smoke paralyzes the cilia which clean the lungs (for about 45 min I believe)
-This is important, since smokers smoke so often their cilia are paralyzed almost their entire life. Thus cannot remove much, unlike most cannabis smokers, who on average smoke less than once a day. This gives you lungs time to clean out.

Then once nicotine is in your blood it causes restriction of blood vessels. Lowering blood flow. To everything.
-so now your pumping less blood to your lungs so they can’t heal properly.

And, as your smoking carbon monoxide enters your blood and competes for the bonding cite on hemoglobin. Thus lower the amount of oxygen your blood can carry.
-now couple: lower blood flow, with lower oxygen levels in the blood. And the increasing heart rate to feed the body, yet starving the heart of oxygen. You get heart disease. And the lungs cant heal them selves well either, with such low oxygen

-blood flow and healing are very related, this is the principle behind lots of physiotherapy

As well a very important finding from Cuba:
-a large study between cig smokers and smokers who smoked both cigs and cannabis found a decrease in the rate of cancer in people who smoked both. Even though more smoke entered their lungs. Hmmm I guess it’s even more complicated.

-It could be because agents in cannabis dilate blood vessels and increase blood flow. Allowing for the healing of blood.

Oh and free radicals can cause cancer in ANY cell. Not just skin. In fact most skin cancers are caused from UV light, which isn’t related to free radicals in the blood stream. Although the UV light creates free radicals inside the nucleus
