im not really into 50, mainstream rap all sounds the same to me. plus he gets respect for being shot, back in the day it used to be earned from blastin shots.
on top of that feminem made him famous, i prefer to listen to people that had the raw willpower and skills to make it.

music is a form of self expression and i am expressing my *ahem* strong dislike of religion.
the unshakeable belief that there is a magical man in the sky that protects them from evil is a highly schizophrenic and possibly dangerous delusion, it has caused wars. people that believe in this magical man are allowed to walk the streets free instead of being commited to the nearest psychiatric ward

So why do you have such a strong disliking of religion? What has it done specifically to you? I'm not religious myself, just curious.

absolutely nothing. strongly disliking is putting the way i feel very mildly. i cannot articulate just how much hate i possess because even i cant fathom it all.
the church brainwashes people and teaches twisted forms of the book that they say cannot be corrupted to suit each societies wants and fears. willingly instilling schizophrenic tendencies into children and teaching them that its true and if they dont believe it they burn in eternal hell fire before they can choose is wrong.
i guess i am partly jealous that while they are openly insane they are not commited to wards, but if i were to be openly insane to the public i would be commited in an instant. they can threaten with eternal hellfire and suffering but i cant threaten to slit a bitches throat and leave her corpse in a dark place so it can play with itself. whats worse? eternally being spitted on a flame or a quick death? and yet they dont get prosecuted for it.
i guess i am a bit jealous. but more than that i just outright hate the fact that they think they are so much better than other people because they believe in a magical man in the sky. if i could, i would gladly end the life of every human being on this planet regardless of creed.

Now, you are putting to much blame on the actual churches and religion. People are corrupt, not religions. Secondly I dont see why you hate them so much if theyve never physically done anything to you other than defy your beliefs. That type of responce in and of itself is charactaristically religious.

its true that people are corrupt, but its people that make up the churches and religion.
ive taken a bong rip and settled down a little bit and i will tell you why i hate religion. its because when i was a little boy.........a priest raped me.......j/k the real reason is because my grandparents had tried to force it on me and im not the kind of person that can have things forced on me. they tried very hard and the more they tried the more i began to hate, despise and revile it.

That's kind of the same with me, it was pretty much thrown at me and for a while I was religious but eventually kind of decided it wasnt the way for me. I have happened to have seen a lot of the good that religion can do. I've seen a lot of the bad as well but it has done a whole lot of good. I think people rather than get caught up in some complex religion in their search for answers, focus simply on spreading love and goodwill towards others. I feel like such a hippie saying that but I really do think that. Or maybe its just because Im high and tired and am in love with everybody right now.
