Cleaning Resin (A new thread!)

Hey I just got a pipe from my friend and he said he's never cleaned it before. It's like black inside, fuckin sweet right? Here's the catch, every time I see a guide on how to clean resin into a sweet smokable ball, its always about boiling it. My dad works from home so I can never boil it, and a toothpick just seems to turn it into powder....soooo does anyone have any tips for me?

yea this is what you do.. take a lighter and heat the outside of the pipe.. this should make the resin gooey and alot easier to scrape out with a paper clip... then just roll it into a ball and shmoke it

A metal skewer, or anything clean and metal works great to get reason out.

dude okay heres what you do: (it requires boiling or extremley hot water but you dont gotta actually boil the bowl)

either loop a wire through your bowl so that you can hold the wire with the bowl hanging down, or get tweesers that youn can succesfullly grasp the bowl with.(the point is so that you can dip the bowl into a mug of hot water without burning your hand

then, either boil water in a teakettle like your just making tea, or if you dont usually make tea and it looks suspecious, you can just turn the sink on hot until its as hot as can be.

fill a mug with the hottest water you can get, and then using the wire or tweesers, swish the bowl vigourousley around in the water. if the water starts getting cold, refill the mug with the hot water. but be sure you collect the resin first. the mug will fill with the resin and you should ewither pour it out over thick layers of paper towels or a screen or coffe filters to catch the resin. once you've gotten as much resin that will come out, try and collect the rest with a paper clip or wahter(there might not even be any left)

now you can fill a mug with rubbing alchoal and swish the bowl around in that to make it extra clean and shiny. (if you do, be sure to rinse it througley in water after)

ive found q-tips are perfect to dry out the inside of your bowl when your done

Sometimes when I am in a rush: I stick a "stir-straw" in and most of the resin will get inside the straw, I then squeeze the straw and the resin will come out...into the same bowl if you want! That's kinda a messy way but if will get a good amount of resin.

Tip:
*When you have resin on you or on any surface, the best way to clean it: wipe with dryer sheets. Wipe your hands with a dryer sheet...the resin will be gone. Wipe your keyboard off with a dryer sheet...the resin will be gone.*

The way I do it like I just did again tonight (dry night). I take my lighter and slowly heat up the pipe, then I take a paper clip or q-tip and go through the pipe, I then cover the choke and blow out the bowl, all the resin flys out the mouth piece, and I simply let it collect in a bag. Works, sometimes you need to do it three times to get it all out. I dont mind smokin resin, cause the last week and a half Ive blown about a ounce of strawberry cough through this.
