Tobacco... is it inevitable?
Its obviously different for everyone. I know people who did after a few cigarettes, then some people years. And then me and some of my friends have like 1 butt when drinking...and will never be 'addicted' to it...

It can take from anywhere to just a few times of smoking, to a week or two of regular smoking. It's the way the chemical interacts with your brain in making it necessary to have nicotine to feel as though it's functioning correctly. A dependence.

But see if you can go a week or two of drinking without smoking that cigarette, friend. I said the same thing, but now I find myself every day smoking at least part of a cigarette when I get high...because I thought I wasn't addicted and didn't have to smoke regularly. However, I really do. Every time I get high, I must find a cigarette. (it isn't hard, the other three people in my house smoke so it's something that I'm not going to be able to avoid until I'm living in a different environment)

Well, I just using that as an example..it obviously varys. Sometimes I'll go months then buy a pack for the weekend. This has been going on for 6ish years so go figure. Plus, when I'm not drinking or something, I hate the smell of the smoke, and it tastes Nasty.
