Digi Photo Tips or Tricks?
I've been trying to take some real nice closeups like I see here around the forums and I just can't get the focus right. Does anyone have any tips for photographing our favourite plant, in macro, lighting, flash, etc.?
I wanna take better pics, dammit!

The best investment I think for me anyway was a tripod... The slightest movement when you click will foul a pic... there should also be a delay setting that shoots the pic just after you click to avoid the movement at the point of click...
What cam do you have???

I did a quick search try macro and select fill in mode... stay a foot away from the subject or move away till the sbject fills your led... You can put it in no flash mode and just play with positions with a lamp,,,shade removed...
post a pic

My digital camera is really good and you can choose the option to have it completly manual.

I can also choose close up mode....
..and I have a button on my camera that I can choose the main focal point of the photo...focus on it...and lock it on that point.
I can also choose 3 different ways the lens looks at things..
It's pretty sweet..but it has taken me nearly 3 years to figure all this shit out on my camera. It was pretty damned hard...
..but now I can take really cool pictures.
Just find out all the shit your camera can do...and learn it.

Thanks for the replies and advice, E1.
So, you use macro and still stay about 3 feet away? Then use zoom to get close? Hmm, sounds interesting. I'll try it.Originally Posted by aznson01

I posted a decent trichome pic in the Cannabis pictures forum and on my grow thread (in my sig). I lost the instructions to my camera so I really don't know how to work it properly. Gonna keep trying.
