Germinating/Propagation

I have feminised seeds and I am planning on using a hydro system with pearlite/cocobrick and rockwool cubes. How should I go about germinating and begin propagating?

Also...

I have a 400W MH and a HPS conversion bulb. How high should I put the MH above the seedlings? I have a 2, 45" tube flourescent also but I would prefer to not use them.

I'd stick them in rockwool under the fluor.
