I don't think you're going to convince any one of those people, and another thread to argue the same point as in that other closed thread is like beating a dead mule.

For the record, I agree with your calculations. You are correct in every way. I think the others are judging potency by how high they would get, which I agree you probably wouldn't get any higher because the amount of trichomes you lost (yes, there is some loss) is equal to the amount of plant material loss, so they mostly cancel out.

Look at it this way. When you make hash oil out of a certain strain of marijuana, you increase the potency of the product, even though its still of the particular strain. You are just isolating the thc from the rest of the plant material. Water curing does this on a much smaller scale.

Personally, I think the water cure method is a waste of time because you still need to dry normally after the dunking period and the amount of improvement you get is not very much.
