I am so disappointed seeing my girls turn into boys
This hermaphrodite thing is driving me crazy. I have a plant that's a girl, then she's a boy. I don't have a problem with sex switching in people. Hell, I'm trans myself. But, damn! To lose all those hours growing and nurturing only to start all over again.
From what I've read any kind of stress can trigger this: light, transplanting. I guess the only way to insure your girls stay girls is to be very, very careful not to startle the little darlings.
For now, it's toss the plant, plus any clones taken after the change, and begin again with seeds.
Arg!!! and I can't afford to buy!...

It's really not all that easy turning females into hermie's and if you're getting a rash of them you should either change the source of your seeds or look closer. Most of the time hermie's are a result of misidentification.

You know, if it's a female and then turns hermie, you should be able to just pull the male pods of and still flower. So really, even though it wouldnt be the best harvest in the world, your doing yourself out of one.

Well, if your plant was female to begin with, your clones will be female.
The clones can be hermies, yes, but if your very careful with them, they should be all female. Hermies are due to stress, it's extremely rare to get a natural hermie [geneticly hermie]
Veg the clones, flower them and enjoy. Even if they turn out hermie, just pull the balls off and let them flower. You'll still get a smokeable harvest.
