    Can U Help?

I was wondering...... Would 2 150w CFL's work decent to start a plant from seed until ready to clone? How much light will I need for the clones? Plan on putting outside after the winter. How old can a MJ plant grow to be? How long until the buds lose potency?? Sorry if stupid questions.
    Thanks for the help,

Just one plant, yeah, you can do it, sort of, but more is better. Remember that flouro light doesn't penetrate too far into the canopy so you're going to have to train it to get the most out of your meagre light source. I'd go for more lights, seriopusly; I mean, you can get a whole clip fixture plus a bulb at home depot for like $10 ... so why not do it? You will be happy you did.

as you're waiting for them to root... not much. A 2' t-12 fixture with 2 tubes will do fine for a shoebox-sized wick cloner if that's the way you end up cloning.

'kay, remember to harden it off like a tomato plant though!

If never flowered, years and years. Some people have 20 year old mother plants. If you successfully rear clones, hang on to your mom in a perpetual veg state and put the CLONES outside to flower instead.

what do you mean? like the age of the plant? In theory, never, if you treat her well.

What is a clip fixture? What kind of bulb does it come with? Right now I have 6 150W CFL's and 2 2ft. flouros. (not sure how many watts) Using all of them for flowering my 4.5ft plant that was outdoors all summer.
"Harden it off like a tomato plant" What u mean??
When is too late to clone? So then... I can just keep flowering my plant as long as it lives? Thanks for the info.

you can keep it in veg state for a while , once u flower it u have to harvest when its ready...

harden it up like a tomato plants, thats like making it fit to survive outside outside i think - use fans to strengthen the stem etc...

By clip fixture I just mean like on of those cheap worklights with an aluminum reflector... takes a regular bulb, so a CFL fits. As soon as your summer plant is done flowering the little guys will be ready to get more light, so you can just use what you've got.

Every day put it outside, or on the sill of an open window, or put it under a cold frame, so it gets used to cold night air.

Never in a plant's life, but after about the 2nd or 3rd week of flowering it's dicey.

no... you are best off kjeeping one plant as a mother, and it can give you clones for as long as it lives, but every time you flower and reveg a plant it can become weakened and possibly turn hermi on you, not desirable.
