You know how some people don't get high their first time? Well, I had been reading that it was because the Cannabinoid receptors aren't active yet. Well, that isn't true. We have the cannabinoid receptors because we have endocannabinoids that use these receptors. THC just happens to be an agonist of these molecules. These receptors are always active due the fact that endocannabinoids are important in regulation of important bodily functions. THC binding to these receptors don't need a "warm up" period to percieve THC.

Oh, this was info I learned for my Neurophysiology class. It's in my textbook and in a Scientific American article from 2004.

I think the reason people don't get high is basically because they smoked wrong/not enough. It might even have something to do with setting and mind set. But, not the cannabinoid receptors...
