Pot Burgers anyone?
Two Albuquerque police officers are suing Burger King over marijuana-laced burgers served at the fastfood restaurant. After consuming half of their burgers, the cops noticed the pot, conducted a test that confirmed the substance, and immediately went to the hospital for evaluation. Three Burger King employees have been indicted with possession of marijuana and aggravated battery on an officer. The officers are seeking unspecified damages for personal injury, negligence, and violation of fair practices.

Suit: Burger King served pot burgers to cops

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (AP) -- Two police officers sued Burger King Corp., claiming they were served hamburgers that had been sprinkled with marijuana.
The lawsuit says Mark Landavazo and Henry Gabaldon, officers for the Isleta Pueblo tribal police, were in uniform and riding in a marked patrol car when they bought meals at the drive-through lane October 8 of a Burger King restaurant in Los Lunas, New Mexico.
The officers ate about half of their burgers before discovering marijuana on the meat, the lawsuit said. They used a field test kit to confirm the substance was pot, then went to a hospital for medical evaluations.
"It gives a whole new meaning to the word 'Whopper,"' the officers' attorney, Sam Bregman, said Monday.
"The idea that these hoodlums would put marijuana into a hamburger and therefore attempt to impair law enforcement officers trying to do their jobs is outrageous."
Three Burger King employees were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and aggravated battery on an officer, a felony. They later were indicted.
The lawsuit, filed Friday in Bernalillo County, alleges personal injury, negligence, battery and violation of fair practices. It seeks unspecified damages along with legal costs.
Officials at Miami-based Burger King declined to comment, citing a company policy against discussing pending litigation.

Pot Burgers anyone?
this whole thing is stupid imo, on both sides.... how could the cops possibly of been harmed... they over reacted, they're acting like someone dumped rat poison on the burger... "and immediately went to the hospital for evaluation" come on, it's fucking marijuana... and for gods sake it doesn't even effect you when eaten raw...
only question i have is how do the cops know what weed tasted like? they could have tasted something diffrent then looked and seen it was weed... but i remember a report straight from the officers mouth went something like "he bit into his burger and turned to his partner and said 'this burger tastes like marijuana'"
"The idea that these hoodlums would put marijuana into a hamburger and therefore attempt to impair law enforcement officers trying to do their jobs is outrageous."
like i said before, eating weed won't even work unless you cook it in something first...
like i said, it's all a bunch of bullshit... just more ammo for anti-marijuana ads/other BS if i could get to the dudes that did it i would bitch slap the hell outta them for it..

I would guess someone would think it would be funny but to actually do it, and risk getting fired and arrested.....and having it actually happen. Fuck, lol, but ya, you made a good point slipknot, but still, they probablly would have a shit-fit if someone put tons of mayonaise on their burgers....OINK OINK.

When I first read that article, my very first thought was "Why the hell did those Burger King kids waste that weed on some cops?". I see it as a joint they didn't get to smoke. Stupid kids!
