    dillemma...help!

I am in a Dillemma right now, please help! I am trying to choose between the two of these scenarios which will become my entire life about 7 months from now:

    Option A:

    - Go to college
    - receive a certificate that will allow me to pretty much only work at a handful of maybe not-incredibly-successful sound recording studios most likely around Ontario (namely Toronto)
    - live 2 years of what I've heard will be the best times of your life in College (how am I to know if that is true though?)
    - $22,000 over 2 years (only have to worry about $11,000 each year)while living on campus with restaurants just outside my front door, free TV, free fridge, free couches, free bed, free T3 internet, free satellite, free bus pass, free gym membership, basically luxery while learning

Basically, fun couple years but distinct possibility of less successful career

    Option B:

    - Go to a specialized recording engineering institute
    - graduate from a school that in the past 3 years has produced sound engineers who have recorded CD's with U2, Paul McCartney, Avril Lavigne, Green Day, and RADIOHEAD. In the past 5 years they have produced talents which have helped create films such as The Aviator, Madagascar, and The Dukes of Hazzard. In the past 5 years they have produced workers who are now employed by Much Music, CTV, CBC, and A&E. This place has also made engineers who have worked with creating recent video games Need For Speed Underground, 007 Everything or Nothing, NBA Street, and Harry Potter.
    - live 11 straight months of 30 hour school weeks living in an apartment for alot of money while also paying for all food, utilities, no TV for a while, no computer in a city which includes absolutely nobody that I know and there is no campus or anywhere to really meet new people like there is at college, so potentially a grueling and lonely year, especially since I'm bad at meeting new people
    - be able to seriously submit my resume to high profile places like Hollywood, San Francisco, New York, etc etc
    - $26,000 paid tuition in less than one year with also considering all of life's other expenses while living on your own on top of a bank loan and it's interest

Basically, really poor, hungry, and mentally testing year with potentially much more rewarding life ahead of me.

I'm not asking you guys to make the decision for me. All I'm asking is to see what you would do so I might gain some insight..thanks!

Option B sounds better in the long run..more succesful(sp?)
It might be harder..but it would pay off in the end.

i don't want to sound like a dick but you need to be asking these questions to those who really matter in your life rather than a bunch of stoners on a message board. All we'll do is make this whole situation more confusing by having many people take opposite sides on this matter. just remember, your family wants what's best for you (or at least i hope so) so listen to them and listen to yourself. don't rush yourself. let it come to you and i'm sure you'll be happier with your OWN choice than the choices of those who are not concerned with where you'll be in 10 years.

Think it over yourself. Decdie what is right for you. None of us are you or really know you. Only you hold the answer.......I feel like a wizard saying that. You hold the key, to your...your.......destiny.

It's great that you share this thing with us lagstronaut, I mean we can give advice but it's up to you what you really want to do.

My advice: I'd go for Option B, it sounds amazing, but whatever you choose you should know that they are both pretty good.

    Good Luck

depends what sort of person you are

personally i would take option b because it sounds easyer annd i think i would be more likley to complete and i know that i would probz end up fucking up option b

however if your one of those sort of ppl that can really nuckle down ect then take option b as it will b much much better in the long run. actually i would probz take option b but i would have to find out a bit more because i usually gen up getting kickedo ut of things suck as skl and colleges ivebeen to 3 secondary skls in 4 yours bn kicked out of all of them got let back in2 the last 1 and im currently on a 5 day exclusion lol also went college in year 10 but got kicked out of that so had to come back to skl lol
