theese systems such as the cilia in your throat (little hairs designed to stop mucus and other small particles from going down your throat) are not present in smokers because teh smoke burns them away...thats why you get smokers cough because the cilia cannot remove the mucus from your throat

    HEALTH WARNING

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silicosis

Silicosis (also known as Grinder's disease) is a form of pneumoconiosis caused by inhalation of crystalline silica dust, and is marked by inflammation and scarring in forms of nodular lesions in the upper lobes of the lungs.
    Types of Silicosis

Classification of silicosis is made according to the disease's severity, onset, and rapidity of progression. These include:

    Chronic silicosis
A form of the disease that develop after 20 years or longer of exposure to low levels of silica dust. Chronic silicosis itself is further subdivided into simple and complicated silicoses. This is the most common type of silicosis.

    Asymptomatic silicosis
Early cases of the disease do not present any symptoms

    Acute silicosis
Silicosis that develops after 1 to 3 years of exposure to very high concentration of silica dust.

    Accelerated silicosis
Silicosis that develops after an average of 10 years of exposure to high concentration of silica dust.
I'm thinking if you've smoked a bit of this stuff it probably won't hurt you... but if this shit stays around, it could pose some pretty severe health problems with prolonged use.

I only quoted your post because it was the last on saying something similar to it not being harmful. I agree it may not be as serious as the thread starters statement. I was only pointing out there are certainly health risks involved. I probably should have just looked for lefts post though and quoted that.

And your body would filter out a lot of it, but it would still get in your lungs.

    Smoking tobacco.

In a study on 64000 people from the US, researcher found no direct link betwen heavey marijuana use and any form of cancer, including lung cancer.

Doesnt mean you WONT get lung cancer, but it seems pretty safe to me.

No one has ever been disagnosed with cancer from only smoking weed, most people will have smoked tobacco too, but then, thinking about it logically, you dont have to smoke anything to get cancer.

It's a shame we live in a world with this horrible disease. I've just about prepared myself knowing that i will most probably get cancer in later life, i hope to god i dont, but im not holding my breath about it.

Yeah same, sometimes I think I have it now because there are sometimes pains in my chest area and sometimes in my back area. I know somethings wrong so I really don't wanna go to the doctor and then they tell me what I have. I want to think that I'm going to live for as long as I can . If I find out I have cancer or something I will look at life completely different.

    HEALTH WARNING

the way i see is that there is a shit load of rumours flying around about this stuff, so i really dont know what to believe. im thinking that if this shiz is proper bad for you there would of been some kind of official warning about this by now as the police must have blatently acquired some by now and be aware of it ( i mean i first picked up sum of this about 3 - 4months ago now and searching the web, i cannot find any official news or warnings on it) but once youve smoked a few j's of it, you notice that your throat feels dry and raspy which cant be to sweet!?!?!?!
