The quartz mentioned in the article would be found in most weed with sand in it. Obviously there are some health risks from inhaling it, I don't think cancer is to far fetched. Y'all would be suprise what google can turn up by typing in a few simple words.

It should be noted this sand is often used in the making of glass. It may help to brush off your weed, but you can't say there aren't potential health risks associated with it.
