Uppers tone down weed high?

i have been smoking for a while and im wondering if anyone els has noticed this, when i smoke alot and get retarded to the point where i have trouble walking streight, if i smoke a ciggarette it brings me back to the point of just being "high" and not super baked. for a while i thought it was just that the weed we where getting wasnt that great, or my tollerance was too high, or i wasnt holding my hits long enough.. but after noticing things i belive the reason i dont usualy get as high as i did back in the day when i first started smoking is because when i originaly started smoking weed i didnt smoke ciggs, AT ALL

i notice that if i smoke weed and DONT smoke a cig i get this super intense high almost like im tripping (not halucinating but the whole change of conciousness) but after a cig it retorts back to just being... high

also in my research on how to get higher, "Chicago" works wonderfully, hold your hits till the bowl or jay comes back to you.

another technique i have found is hyperventilateing befor takeing a hit, breathing in and out as hard as you can for a good minute and emptying your lungs compleatly, then taking a massive hit and standing up will give you a mix of that "california knock out" headrush numbness and just and all out "oh my fucking god.. what happend to reality"

this also lets you hold your hits MUCH longer and is easyer to keep from coughing, i think the hyperventilation numbs out your lungs as well as the tingley feeling in your limbs.

im not making the connection between this thread and "uppers"...

but my friend is prescribed to uppers... could be xanax or somethin, no idea... but he started smoking, and hes a complete fiend... just really really weird about it... and all his close friends say its because of the prescription.

anyone with experience?

theyres some prescription anti-depressants and anti anxiety meds that mess around and change the amounts of certain chemicals in your body, i would think that it would change the high. a friend of mine is on some sort of med like that and he trips out when he smokes, even a little.

maybe it has something to do with MAOI's i know they affect how alot of drugs work on you.

oh and "uppers" doesnt only reffer to pills, coke, caffine, cigs and pretty much anything that wakes you UP or gives you energy i would consider an UPper

weed on the other hand is a downer like heroin and alcohol

Hes referring to cigarettes as an upper. I'm not sure if they are or aren't, but they might be.

I've never mixed other drugs with weed. Except alcohol and like 3 hits of weed, that made me feel much better

Well its pretty obvious that if you combine two drugs you will get a different effect than just doing one.

I remember one night when I was high as hell and drunk off my ass. All of a sudden we ran out of cigars and I was the one everyone thought should drive. I did 2 huge lines of "powder" and drove to the store fine, I even ended up getting a buy one get one free box of phillies. Obviously the coke didn't sober me up, if just altered my buzz a bit, and allowed me to think I could drive to the store...I definitely was not sober. Our brains are pretty complicated, even more so when we are doing drugs.

I've been so shit faced on bud that I'm reluctant to stand up because my legs are numb. If my wife (non-user) is coming home, I down about 3-500mg
ginseng caps and chase w/ a diet pepsi...within 20 min. I start to maintain better with a sense of alertness, but not anymore sober. I can however keep from babbling bullshit that usually gives me away...I just tell her I took 2 Xanax instead of one and I'm chillin'.

We do that Chicago thing over here, except we call it playing "baseball". When I'm rolling hard I'll take huge hits without even noticing because I don't feel it at all, especially out of a bubbler. I don't really feel high or stoned either, it just kinda makes me roll better I guess. Also, hookah + weed + music = euphoria.

I have taken ephedrine before smoking in order to prevent myself from burning out and just going to bed early, and yeah, I noticed when the ephedrine kicked in it kinda sucked. I only take it after i smoke now so it doesnt clash as bad.

Ephedrine rocks though if you ever need a quick and legal boost of energy. Just don't get hooked or it kinda thins your bones out or something over a long time and you break them easier, I dunno.
