When I got up today, all kinds of leaves were sticking through the top of the tank, and were up into the hood. So, I stripped out the mylar carefully, tipped the aquarium on it's side, re mylared, and tore apart the aquarium hood to use the fixture to make a hood that fits iside the tank.

For the hood, I used a cereal box and lined the inside with mylar. I used a set of "tv tray" legs to hold it up. I have a "bracket" stick ready which will raise it another inch when I need to.

By the time I need to raise the hood higher, I'll have jury rigged another suspension.

Neat thing is, I can peek in the sides without having to open it up.
