What IS spam?

My favorite way to cook SPAM is called "canning it". Instructions:

1. Open can of SPAM.
2. Open lid of trash can.
3. Empty ENTIRE contents of can into trash.
4. Pour 3 cups of gasoline.
5. Stir slowly.
6. Light match and drop in.

Optional step 7: Kick the crap out of the trash can and NEVER EAT THAT SHIT AGAIN.

Yuccy,it was also like the begining of mass prossessed garbage that people eat today... Now we have to spend more to buy food that is not proccessed or shot up with cancer causing cemicals,,,Whats wrong with that picture???

Its huge in Hawaii. They serve it at all of the restaurants there. McDonalds has Spam 'n Eggs for breakfast. When I was there I asked someone why, and they said that the GIs who where stationed there in WWII had it in their rations. They gave it to the local children as a treat, and it soon became part of their culture.

I'm asian... so this is how I eat it.

slice in about 1cm width and pan fry it until the outside gets alittle golden. Just before it gets hard.
Get a bowl of rice, dip the spam with alittle bit of ketchup and eat it with rice.
the combination of salty spam and neutral rice is a delicious one. if you're a fan of kimchee, put that on the side also.

LOL spam! my grampa used to make fried spam sandwitches all the time. I don't buy it but somehow it ends up in the cubbord??? chop up the spam, chop up some potatos. fry them both together add an egg..... wola!
