This has been an ongoing thing now for what, 60 years or so? So if "change starts at home", WHERE'S THE FATWA? What middle eastern Sunni/Shi-ite clerics FROM the Middle East are pushing for this?

These are the people that need to bring change because it's their people putting on the suicide vests, launching rockets across borders, suicide cars, jacking airplanes, etc..........

Sorry Bob but your reply reminds me of a song.

    Have a good one!

So they said it was wrong....appoligized, went after the perpatrators, and Paid money to the people that it happened to......

What else can you do? Cant turn back time......when will you forgive?

You just hate the Pope, you hate America, Hate Christians.....So it is easy for you to see it the way you do.
I was wondering if you knew, in fact, where most of that money came from? The money that is used to pay off the little kids who were molested in settlements. I'm sure priests wern't posted up on the corners of Vatican City sellin dime bags to distressed mothers of molested little boys. Maybe its a cycle.

    Just kidding.

In all seriousness though I remember my 10th grade teacher telling me something like this: He said that, in church I forgot what its called, but they put a plate around and people give money? Well that money is then rounded up and sent to the pope in Vatican City and they used some of it to pay off the kids who were molested.

I can't totally vouch for that but ummm you think thats right?

Molesting boys is vital to the church. The ones who like it join the preisthood. Worked like a charm for hundreds of years. And if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

There are many.. they're just not doing it FROM the middle east anymore because those that object to them speaking out.. generally like to behead those that disagree with them. Those that have spoken out, had their bodies found without heads.. and the heads still haven't been found to this day.

    What about Saddam's sister?
What about Saddam's two brothers (who he killed hiimself)

Have you ever had to flee a country in fear of your life? I haven't, i really.. really hope that i never have to.

They do speak out.. very loudly. They also teach the "moderate" muslims that what is taking place is against what they are teaching.

Flee the country, then speak out. Or speak out.. and have your head taken off.

You don't hear them speaking out from the middle east because there's so many bombs going off nobody can hear them... flee the country and speak out and still nobody listens because they're not "From the middle east".

Ironically... people look at the colour of their skin and assume they ARE from the middle east.

So it sounds like the muslims are.. damned if they do blow themselves up.. and damned if they don't.

You certainly don't go into a Red part of L.A and call everyone "CUZ". So why would these people stand in the middle of Bahgdad and call everyone a fanatical.

What's happening over there needs to stop, yea. We also need the help of those from the community that want this to stop, I agree. However... like I said before, Change starts at home... whether it's our home or theirs.. the change will start somewhere.

The Pope is nothing more than the leader of the largest criminal organization in the world. Plus, whether or not he has a cross hanging from his neck he's still just a politician. I have no interest in praying for him as a person. I do hope his trip does some good, however. The less strife between Christians and Muslims the better.

The Catholic Church does not count itself in the same ballpark as other christians - they believe it is the ONE TRUE CHURCH. Every body else goes to hell. This is what I was taught during my ten years in catholic schools.

BTW, do you go to church every week, and on the holidays? How about the other rules and regulations about your personal life -do you follow them religiously? If not, do you go to "confession", and plead for forgiveness? Were you in a catholic school with brothers and/or nuns, lay teachers, etc., that hit and terrorized the children with threats and lies- or worse?

If the answer to any of those questions is "NO", then you don't know what a growing up as a catholic is really like for many of us that went through it.

When the last pope, bishop, cardinal and priest are dead the world will be rid of a scourge worse than any disease we've ever had on earth.
