Try not to just sit in one place your first time, try moving around abit (going for a walk, driving around in a car) in order to add to the contrast of your settings. Whenever I smoke I try and balance being sedate and relaxed with being mobile and active, just to add variety and get the most out of your high.

Oh, and don't ask everyone else if they're high, or say things like "MAN i'm FUCKIN WASTED!!," I used to do this shit and it'll just annoy the fuck out of everyone. Just be cool and enjoy the moment.
