lol, i laugh at all you people who say "just be honest with your parents" and tell them everything. thats bs, i dont know why it seems everyones parents are so "cool" but mine are.......not. and its diff when u got 2 people always riding your ass, i guess you have to live it to understand, but ye not everyone can say "dad im just gonna go buy some weed, bb in 10 min." but hey, all the more power to ya.

I think if you can pay for it without stealing or lying, and you can keep up your grades, then most well-informed parents will tolerate it but not like it (after all, some of those stereotypes are well-founded). The problem comes in where parents haven't done it and believe the anti-drug advertisements, or where they have done too much of it and become burn-outs in their own lives.

But you've gotten really good advice so far.

I think if you're gonna smoke at home, then getting caught should be a scenario you're pretty comfortable with.

Getting caught isn't enevitable. No matter how stealthy you are, there are always stealthier ways. You can get away with it. Luckily for me, my parents are cool and don't care that i blaze

I think my parents know i smoke. im not really one for hiding my stuff, i dont mind if they find out as i would rather not lie to them if they did find anything. So im sure they will have found my stuff as it is just in my dresser draw. i think they know i smoke but they know i do well in school and have a job 5 nights a week so i think they can respect and tolerate my own choice. They used to know i smoked and they let me make my own choice on that. And i know they hate tabbaco so much more than weed as they both used to smoke weed.

My parents definately have an inkling, more my dad than my mom...

My dad's into stoner culture, loves watching old 70s movies and listening to Greatful Dead, Allman Bros and Floyd, and one of his favorite songs is "Don't Bogart That Joint" (Holy Modal Rounders)

One of my mom's favorite movies is Dude Where's My Car, and she's a very medical savvy person, so I know she'd listen to me if I told her what I did.

But I'm not going to tell them unless they ask. Then I will answer 100% truthfully.
