I dated a girl who basically thought we were going to get married, adopt children and live happily together for the rest of our lives. She was extremely suicidal, bipolar and basically just insane. She was also a heavy drug user. I basically told her "I want you to live your life, without me holding you back..you need to learn how to live on your own and make your own decision..and by the way, I cheated on you with a dude"

minus that last part it went pretty okay, after a bunch of crying, stalking and such..So I'm gonna warn you, she's going to be livid..she's going to want to be with you and potentially ruin any future relationships you may have. Avoid her at all costs AFTER breaking up with her, end it all or she WILL come back and you WILL get back with her.

I want to not only because of Rachel but also because of the wierd factor. But I want to do it in a way where we can still be friends. I don't want her to be crying for days because of it. That would kill me for her to do that. I can't stand hurting other peoples feelings.

I would be very honest with this girl and tell her that your first and true love has moved back and the two of you want some time to see if it can work out again. Tell her that you 2 still care very much about each other and your sorry but you have to do what is best for you. Wish her the best of luck and say that hopefully one day you can be friends again.
