mixing red and blue spectrum floros
hey all
kp, bob, everyone else..... what do you think about using two 6500k and two 3000k bulbs during seedling and veg, and switch to all 3000k later when i flower? i have 4 6500 k floros and 2 3000k at the moment, all brand new with only two 4 foot 40 watt 2 bulb fixtures. how would you do this, theoretically, of course. i think this could help some people "learn."
lol

put 1 cool white and 1 warm white in each fixture. instead of 2 warm and 2 cool side by side.

i thought using the 3000k plus switching to the 12/12 light cycle kicked it into flowering mode? i saw a post stating the diff color temps and what they do for the plants, 6500-8000 = excellent stem and foiliage development, and so forth. what do you gain by using "full spectrum" lighting.

Bigger, better, and faster growing plats, but you need full spectrum from a HID light MH and HPS not floros

true, but i'll get the same effect from the floros?
i'm just going cheap on the veg lights for now. actually, i don't believe i have to spend 150 to get tremendous buds
i know using HID's is better but hell, i'm only trying to lower my costs so i can actually pocket some of this money i'm supposedly making at my job; smoke costs too much...a stoner thinking about purpose is like a redneck wanting another beer. it\'s gonna happen eventually.

A growshop owner told me that combining the two just meant you are matching the natural sunlight better. Weather it will give you more or less bud, Or better foliage and veg growth I have no idea.

this may just be coincidence but i haven't changed my light cycle yet and today is the second day after switching some of my daylights for 3000k lights and within the 48hrs 2 of my plants are showing preflowers now, but i also read that its a chemical that builds up in the plant when you increase the dark cycle that kicks it into flowering.
