It is too small, any night stand would be too small, u need ventalations, the lights would be too close and too contained, it would make a great deal of heat, and u would be limited to CFLs in that space, and they give off heat to an extent.

its actually a dresser about 3.5feet tall and about 3feet wide im sure it would work for wide bush instead of a tree

After you put your lights in your gonna be left with less than 3 then u have to compensate for the lengh between the plant and bulbs your left with about 2 feet for growth after that, and what about ventalation?

A friend of mine got some of those agro-sun lights with a clip thing that clips onto just about anywhere so she can move the light up as she goes. I believe the wattage is 150 but not positive....perhaps that would work for you

get a couple 45watt cfl's 8 bucks each at wally's...and wire them in receptacles to the back or buy a little vanity mirror assembly. good luck..

I think you are attempting to start smart. Just learn a simple method on a small grow. You will be surprised what you can get out of that little cabinet. peace lw

cool i think ima start getting everything set up then get the lights and start the grow thanks latewood i feel as im starting smart also using a good fast system for a small plant its genius it wont take long to get a 2foot bush and get it budding but do u guys think heat is gonna be a problem with the cfls wat if i mad a small hole in the bak where light will barely peak out and none in i think would be jus fine cuz my house stays at a steady temp of 65degrees

yea heat is going to be an issue, once u start to flowering the plants are going to get 3/4th bigger by the time its over,You need a High Pressure Sodium light and the ballast to go along with it, no way thats gonna fit and be far enough away for heat issues, even with the other lights it will be too close and too hot. a bucket would be the only size container that would fit, and that takes up like a foot and a half. i have attached some pics of my Deep Water Culture System and my grow, look at the size, no way u can fit that in a 3 foot Dresser.

You need a larger space, it will only be ok for a very short mount of time, like 2 weeks at the most, and then the plant will be big. you still havent answerd how you are going to get ventalation to your plants in the death trap? u cant fit a fan in there.

hmmm if heat is a issue ill jus do it in my closet ill jus use a box to block out the corner into a small grow space and use some reflective shit like mylar so the light wont shine out solves height problems and if i put it in my closet keeping it cool with cfls would be easy is it cheap to run them? also latewood pretty much said its not a bad idea i dont think so either cuz the water would help keep it cool and it wouldnt need to be a a big bicket jus wide enough
