Ok. I am on the verge of the construction of a grow room. I have researched as much as possible but there still remain many questions. Ive decided to purchase two 400w hps lamps and I am going with a rockwool base. The grow space is about 5.3' length, 2.3' width 8' tall. First of all, how many plants can I realistically fit in a space this size.

I plan on growing on a shelf 2' off the floor fit to 5' by 2'. What should I use as a base for the plants to grow in? How deep should what I'm using be?

Do I mix a nutrient solution into the irragation tank and measure the ph?

What kind of a shopping list should I put together to cover all the bases?
