personally i've smoked almost everyday since 1994 until 99, took some time off for school and started back up in 2001, had to take a break now to find a job and i'm not feining or having sleepless nights. I would smoke alot because i enjoyed being high, not because i was pissed or needed it to just function. I haven't smoked since thanksgiving and honestly it's no big deal. Even when i smoke a joint in the morning, one at lunch and a few at night i didn't feel worn out or anything. I do remember a time drinking mountain dew and it made me sick, throwing up and gave me the shits. even now to much caffeine will make me nausuos, feeling sick and just not right. where as weed hasn't made me feel like that, so until i puke and get the shits from smoking bud then i won't buy into that weed is more harmful then caffeine.

I feel that both cannabis and caffeine are addictive...I don't really know how addictive caffeine is so I cannot compare the two. However those who use one of the drugs and unfairly come to a conclusions about the other drug or users of that drug are hypocrites.

Today while taking my psychology Final exam I noticed my professor had to leave class to get coffee...I think she addicted...in addition she has spent plenty of time talking about the dangers of cannabis but very little on caffeine. I feel she is a hypocrite...but I won't judge her, its her life...if she can't function at work without it, that is her problem. With regard to cannabis, I have very little trouble working without it.

Although it has signs of mental addiction, if you think about it, mental addiction is nothing more than a desire. If I have a desire to listen to music, it's not an addiction.

The OP had mentioned it has no withdrawal symptoms, but I disagree on that. They may be milkd, like anxiety and shakes, but they are still there. Of course you can get withdrawal off cannabis, not everyone does, but it happens.

Caffeine IS more harmful than cannabis... it's a vasoconstrictor, which reduces O2 flow to cells, it can initiate arrhythmia in people who are pre-disposed to cardiac problems, can increase cortisol levels (triggered by stress), and produces higher concentrations of lactic acid in the bloodstream by involuntary muscle tension.
