Cops and Paraphernalia.

I had a quick question.

I live in Canada and I was wondering the legality of cops finding smoking accessories on you, like a bong or a pipe. For example, If I'm walking and for some reason a cop stops me and checks my backpack and I have a bong in it, can I be arrested?

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know about Canada, but in America bongs are illegal. If you are with a cop, that isn't a bong. It is a water pipe. lol.

Canada seems pretty lenient. Marc Emery hit a bong in front of a police officer, got 24 hours and thats it.

So I wouldn't expect there to be a big penalty.

Yes you can and will be arrested unless you just bought it and it has no weed resin in it. There made for tobacco but who is really going to back a bowl of tobacco? lol

This is my take on it:

You're not going to be arrested if you're caught smoking pot, and carrying some (as long as it's still under the "personal use" amount). You will be fined, depending on the cop.

So I certainly can't see you being arrested only for carrying a bong, possibly a fine. Plus cops can't just stop any Tom, Dick or Harry they see walking down the street and search them. They need some sort of reason. My advice is to not give them a reason :thumbsup:
