lol quit wasting your time being polite to tele-marketers... it's not going to get you off the phone any faster and it's not going to get them to leave you alone.. have fun with them... when they call next time be like "so... what you wearing?" or some shit.. lmao... and i dunno about over in uk, but in the US if you tell a tele-marketer to put your number on the no-phone list, and they call anyways... you can take them to court over it... also dunno about in uk, but in us there is a way to block numbers lol.. i can't remember i think it's *70...

I get these too, ring BT and get em to block private calls. [withheld numbers]
The best one i fucked around was double bloody glazing, they rang me, and asked how many windows i had... so i said hang on, and came back 15 minutes later [they were still on the phone... fuck they must be desparate] and said 4.
Most of the time as soon as they say Hello, im calling from so and so i tell them to fuck off, and if they carry on i threaten them with legal action, and that stops the calls for about a week, then it starts again.
Try and see if you can get yourself ex-directory. Then hopefully they wont get your number again and again.

Tell them to put you on the DO NOT CALL LIST.....
then tell them you will hunt them down, and tear thier Hart out while still beating, and feed it to them.

Sadly, threatening them is the only way to get it stopped these days. I never used to get calls everyday offering me shit, that i'd never want.
I mean... why would i want double glazing... i already got it, and if i didnt, i'd ring them.

Do a google search for the National No Call List and that will put your number on the Fed. list for this type of garbage. Also, there are state lists that you can be put on also. I did both about 2 years ago and rarely receive any type of calls of this nature. If they do call afterwords, first ask for the company name then inform them that your are on this list and if they call back again you'll be sueing for harassment. Works EVERY time!
Have a good one!

I get them all the time. My bank keep calling me trying to sell life insurance. Even though I didn't need it they kept calling, so one day I decided to play a game with them.
Bank: Do you work?
Me: No.
Bank: So what do you do with your spare time?
Me: I don't really have spare time.
Bank: But what do you do?
Me: I smoke drugs.
Bank: (dissolves in laughter) Sorry, our policy doesn't cover that.
I was told they record calls for training purposes!
