    Search around for the nutrient availability by PH chart. There are a couple of them floating around the site. You should keep them handy until you get the hang of things. Hydro is good from 5.8 like Late said and just fine up to 6.5.
    I don't think you want to drop below 5.8 though.

    wrong wrong wrong...nothing personal.

    DO NOT PH IN HYDRO ABOVE 6.0 IN flower if you have control you can lower ph to 5,4 week 2-3 of flower to let nutrients for flowering be more available.

    Never go below 5.4 and never above 6.o hint hint. I never let my solution above 5.9...as it get's higher nitrogen becomes more available and you don't need more nitrogen available during flower photoperiod.
