How do you get Medical MJ card?
I live in a state that is 100% for the Medical Merijuana patients. I'm wondering what it takes to get someone to write up a MMJ card for you.
It would be nice for me to have an MMJ card... it makes posession 100% legal, and growing 100% legal.
Thanks guys.Taiden Reviewed by Taiden on . How do you get Medical MJ card? I live in a state that is 100% for the Medical Merijuana patients. Category #1 is for people who are suffering from AIDS/HIV, arthritis, cancer, crohn's, epilepsy, fibromyalgia, glaucoma, hepatitis C (active), intractable pain, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, paraplegia or quadriplegia. For Category #1 Applications, your doctor (licensed MD or ND) must provide a diagnosis of your condition (among those listed above). He/she need not even know what the diagnosis is for - and thus does not even have to be supportive of your self-medication with Cannabis (although a supportive doctor is, of course, preferred). We feel that for these conditions diagnosis is more than sufficient as far as doctor support goes, and we have found it necessary to allow for membership without explicit doctor support due to ignorance and confusion among many medical professionals.
Category #2 is for people who suffer from an ailment not covered by Category #1, and for whom a doctor (licensed MD or ND) feels that marijuana could be beneficial. Due to the huge range of illnesses for which Cannabis has been shown to be beneficial, we allow for membership no matter what the illness as long as a doctor is willing to state that he/she feels that 'cannabis may be beneficial' for you.
Category #3 is for people who have received their government (Health Canada) issued exemption. This allows for expedited membership for people who have already jumped through the hoops required for Health Canada MMAR (or Sec. 56 or other) exemption.
Don't be A douche. Doing something like "making up" a problem only adds to our problem of prohibition.
