How do you expect changes to be made if the only image society sees of pot smokers is a bunch of flakey teenagers who just don't know any better?

If you want the powers that be to accept you, then you have to show them that you are acceptable. Go to work everyday, pay your taxes, don't break any laws (other than marijuana laws), and contribute to society.

That's what they want from you.

sadly, i doubt even that will wind up with it being legalized.... no matter how perfect we may be, i still feel no one will accept weed for what it really is, as opposed to the years and years of negative images it's been given.. i'm not saying we should give up and stop trying to be role model citizens, i guess i just think it's fucked up no matter how hard we try, we're still 'bad people' or 'drug addicts' or people using drugs to 'escape our problems' ...

I go through streaks. Sometimes its daily, sometimes its once a week, sometimes its once a month. I keep it on the DL as best I can.

I smoke 1/16 per two weeks, if I'm careful and don't overdo it. Usually one bowl when I have a free night, sometimes two or three if I have a lot of spare time and/or stress to forget.

I think I need to take a tolerance break though cause my highs aren't that great anymore.

I would like to grow, but I don't have sufficient privacy to do so.

I am a morally-conscious citizen, just like anyone else, and I think that weed helps me use alcohol more responsibly. It relieves my emotional stress and my physical pain, refreshes my spirit, and gives me shelter from mental storms. It is the only medicine I feel I need at this time.

For these reasons, I try to stay under the legal radar as much as possible, so it can't be taken away from me.

I like to chill out with my stash, Normally I will take a good hit just before my favorite TV program and just RELAX and watch, Maybe switch on the Xbox 360 and really get into what I am playing.

I smoked for a long time before I got married 10 years ago, I promised my wife I would give up one day and I did for a year in 1999 but had to take a LOT of extra pain killers for my back (curved spine due to over work!) and was way more spaced out and just lost my since of humor completely, So I never told her I started smoking again, when I did everything was good again, I WAS ABLE TO LAUGH AT LIFE.

Since then she has let me grow it but not smoke it! Strange but true.
I am in the second week of budding my first crop, I will smoke the lot, not sure how I'm going to explain what I did with the finished bud to her...

I have 2 HUGE "ICE" 1 "White Widow" and 1 "California Special"

The only thing I don't like is keeping this all secret from the ones I love, But I have to say at the same time that as I cannot just have a toke when I like (I have to go out of site and smell of the wife, hard to do when you live in the same house) I appreciate it more and smoke a lot less that I used to, I guess a 1/4 of hash lasts a month, But I could smoke a 1/2Oz if I could afford it.

This is my first post of what I'm sure will be many to come.
And BTW I use my Proto Pipe always, what do you guys use when your outside or somewhere where smoking is not allowed?

i am the type that loves to get blitzed with my homies, chill out, laugh at stupid shit, and fuck around. marijuana is amazing... it enhances my life. without it, life would be very bland and unexciting.

Well, I buy anywhere from a quarter pound to a pound at a time in order to smoke for free. I usually pull off an ounce for myself, I can sell this shit for an easy 50 a quarter. I smoke regs occasionally (when its all I can find), but its usually mids or better for me.
