How do you expect changes to be made if the only image society sees of pot smokers is a bunch of flakey teenagers who just don't know any better?

If you want the powers that be to accept you, then you have to show them that you are acceptable. Go to work everyday, pay your taxes, don't break any laws (other than marijuana laws), and contribute to society.

That's what they want from you.

sadly, i doubt even that will wind up with it being legalized.... no matter how perfect we may be, i still feel no one will accept weed for what it really is, as opposed to the years and years of negative images it's been given.. i'm not saying we should give up and stop trying to be role model citizens, i guess i just think it's fucked up no matter how hard we try, we're still 'bad people' or 'drug addicts' or people using drugs to 'escape our problems' ...
