for a while it might work. i had 2 plants with 2 23w cw cfls and one plant kicked the proverbial bucket so now i have those 4 plus 2 40 watters. it's a girl, too. i'd take pictures but i don't have a camera to do so.

Okay thanks, I live in Socal and it gets a good 9 hours of DIRECT SUNLIGHT, Should I bring in the plants at sunset for the lights or just have it on the lights for 24/7?

can't get much brighter than direct sunlight. that and you would save on hydro, too.

Well since we dont get 24 hours light, should I let it soak up as much real sun as possible and bring them in after the sun is setting?

The only prob with leaving them out, they will get so big that they may out grow the CFL lights. You could try, but I would prob keep them as close to the CFL's as possible, about 1 inch. I veged out 12 plants one time under 6 23W CFL's and they were short and squat, about 7 inches with about 10 or more nodes.

you'll need at least twice that many. i had 2 double 48" floro fixtures with 4 k+b bulbs, and 16 23w cfl's for 8 plants initially. traded the floro's for hps, will lose the cfl's when i have another hps running. downt to five plants.

obviously you are vegging. how old are your babies and how much room do you have to flower?

    love, kp
