What are you thankful for?

On Thanksgiving, I am especially thankful to the brave souls, known as the Pilgrims, that arrived in 1620 on the Mayflower and sacrificed so much to make a successful community in America.

I am very proud to be a direct descendant of six Mayflower passengers.

It's estimated that there are about 35 million descendants of Mayflower passengers living today. You could be one of them, if you have ancestry in colonial New England.


I never had heard anything about the Mayflower in my family until I discovered it myself, about 5 years ago, by tracing my mother's line back - and there it was. Proving it with documentation was a challenge, but I did it.

'Sup y'all. It's been a while.

I have to say I admire Americans for their Thanksgiving day. It's a real nice idea. We don't have anything like it here.

Anyway, i'm feeling pretty thankful for a lot at the moment so i'm gonna add my two-pence:

- I'm thankful for the ability to make music. I don't think I could live without it.

- I'm thankful for my girlfriend of 2 years. The only person who's ever been patient with me and my "special" personality.

- I'm thankful for all my friends. My second family.
