My main point though is why history repeats itself, not why economy mixed with money is evil. Thanks for the reply though, I enjoy reading other views from other people.
Hey, I enjoy these kind of discussions!

How I observe money is that it facilitates trade. How can one determine the purchasing power of traded goods? It couldn't be constant because you have to factor in the supply of goods in the areas they live. Some areas, supply of a certain good might be abundent while others it's scarce. How does one establish a scale of purchasing power with millions and millions of possible goods? You'll have individuals refusing to accept goods because they don't need them. You'd have to trade one good, for another in order to get a good you want. That causes some problems. It's a lot easier to hand someone some money, so they can be free to purchase what they need without the hassle of trading multiple goods in order to get one specific good.

I believe the evilness comes from within ourselves. The desire for excess is what causes problems.
