Using an oversized bong is a waste I think. By oversized, I mean anything over 1-2ft. I mean, what's the point of 5 or 6ft bong? My lungs just can't hold that much!

Think about it, your just smoking a bowl, but that one bowl packs more of a punch than a joint, pipe or a small hand held bong and i dont know about you but one rip off of that and im good for the day. Blunts waste the most weed hands down. You put aproximately 2.5 grams in a blunt.
You need about .5 grams in a bowl to get high. You do the math.

not only do you not have to put 2.5 grams in a blunt, but it does not take anywhere near 0.5 grams in a bowl to get high. I roll blunts anywhere from 0.5 grams to a gram usually, and only smoke 0.1 or 0.2 grams out of a bowl each day and I get high as hell. Are you smoking dirt?

I can tell you what I believe conserves the most weed:

Dugout

Three - four packs from a dugout will get you messed... there is no wasted smoke at all, it all goes into you. 3-4 dugout bowl packs is around 1/4 of a joint.

Most wasteful I've seen was called a "Milkshake" and I'm not talking about bhang.
The "bartender" starts by taking a hit off a joint but doesn't inhale it into their lungs. Instead they slowly blow the smoke through a straw into the bottom of a glass and then removes the straw. If it's done right and the air in the room is still then the smoke stays in the glass. The glass is slowly passed to someone who then "drinks" the smoke. I've only known one person who did this and she was quite insane and thought that her ability to be "bartender" made her special. IS there another name for this ridiculous process?

thats a good point nochowder, an oversized bong can actually be LESS efficient if youre milking it every time fully, and need to finish it in two hits. Theres goign to be a bit of escapage, adn the smoke gets alittle stale. although my method on ANY bong, is milk as much as i can take in a hit. and recetnly ive been doing lots of snappers, 0 wasted smoke!

what pisses ME off, is when peoepl milk your bong, really thick and completely, by torching the bowl the entire time they hit, and THEN as soon as the smoke hits their lips practically, they go into a fit of coughing and complaining. god the kids at my school are lame.

My joints dont waste nothing. You gotta be able to roll them so when your not hitting them there isnt loads of smoking comming from it, but it's still alight.
